Earth is the home of humanity, as such it holds a special place in the government of the Hegemony. Currently no single entity (corporation or government department) has sole rights to it.
Mostly depleted of raw materials, and of little to no strategic value, the planet is now home to elite members of Hegemonic society.
The planet continues to hold symbolic importance to all humans, and pilgrimages from all walks of life are common and encouraged.
The Hegemonic subcontractor IMA Couriers is headquartered here, however, most operations are centered around their Lunar orbital station.
